A: The CBS exam is a timed exam, and limited to 30 minutes

A: $69 (USD) Self Study. Please note exam fees are non-refundable

A: You get 2 attempts with each $69 payment

Q: How do I access the CBS exam? 
A: First become a registered user on this site and purchase the exam. Then login, and click on 'My Account' and look under EXAMS.

Q: How do I study for the exam?
A: To become a Certified Beer Server, you must pass the 60-question exam found on our website. We do not require anyone to purchase or acquire anything else from our organization in order to become a Certified Beer Server. So everything else is optional. However, ensure that the contents of the exam are not a complete mystery going in, we publish a syllabus.  The syllabus does not teach you what you need to know to pass the exam, but it does identify what topics will be covered. For anyone who wants help preparing, we offer a number of study resources are presented on our website under the heading "Certified Beer Server" and "Our Free Study Links Page."

Q: What is a passing score on the CBS exam?
A: 75% is a passing score.

Q: What is the pass rate for the CBS exam?
A: The pass rate fluctuates year to year and currently stands at approximately 80% for the Certified Beer Server Exam

Q: How do I get a copy of my certificate?
A: To retrieve and print a copy of your Certified Beer Server Certificate-go to "my account' and under the heading "exams" it will say "Certified Beer Server (CBS) Exam" and underneath will be your % score. Immediately under that is a button that says "print certificate".

Q: How long do you have once you purchase the exam to attempt it?
A: There is no time limit in which you must attempt the exam after you purchase it.
