Version 4 Notes
Released June 2019, effective September 1st, 2019. Supersedes all previous syllabi versions.
On June 1, 2019 we released Version 4 of the syllabi for all four levels of the Cicerone® Certification Program. The new syllabi are available at the following links:
Australia/New Zealand: Certified Beer Server
Advanced Cicerone (all regions)
Master Cicerone (all regions)
These updates were made in order to reflect trends in the beer industry and to improve clarity. At all levels, New England IPA has been added to the Beer Styles section. In the Beer Flavor and Evaluation section, expanded information has been added regarding oxidation flavors beyond paper and cardboard. Some sections have been reorganized and/or expanded to lay out knowledge expectations more clearly.
