We are glad you asked! Yes, our first level exam, Certified Beer Server, is 100% virtual, and is available in multiple languages. The English version is available for specific markets, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and a version adapted for international candidates who do not live or work in those areas. Each market-specific version has its own corresponding syllabus and tests on beer laws, service practices, and/or beer styles uniquely found in those markets.

Our second level exam, Certified Cicerone, also has various market-specific versions available. International candidates taking the exam in the United States will sign a waiver signifying that they live in a country other than the United States, which exempts students from questions involving US law when calculating scores. Candidates who live and work in Canada and the UK will take their own market-specific exams, which have their own respective syllabi. The international Certified Cicerone syllabus removes all market-specific questions and is given in markets not listed here. We have begun offering the written portion of the exam online. Please check our current exam schedule to find an exam suitable for you.
