When purchasing items that require shipping you will be presented with various options during checkout based on where your order is being shipped. Merchandise typically ships within 1 business day, with the exception of major holidays in the United States. All orders ship from Chicago, Illinois.
Within the US, shipping options may include:
Flat Rate - Unlimited Items - 4-8 business days
UPS Next Day Air Saver (delivery next day after order ships)
Outside of the US, shipping options may include:
Flat Rate - Unlimited Items - 10-30 business days (shipping providers include UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS. Our warehouse determines the best option for your package based on weight, dimensions, and location. A tracking number will be provided via email once a shipping provider has been determined and a tracking number has been assigned)
USPS Priority Mail International (delivery 6 to 10 mailing days after order ships, depending on local customs clearance)

We partner with several shipping providers to offer affordable flat rate shipping. Providers include UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS. Our warehouse determines the best option for your package based on weight, dimensions, and location. A shipping confirmation is sent via email once a shipping provider is determined and a tracking number is assigned.
Your home country may charge additional import duties or taxes (VAT, GST, etc). These taxes can add 25% or more to the price of your order and are collected by local authorities. Cicerone cannot determine nor cover the VAT costs of your delivery. Please consider this before making your international purchase. As of 1 January 2021, we are unable to fulfill orders of physical merchandise or otherwise ship physical items to the United Kingdom (UK). We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Why is this limitation in place?
Simply put, Brexit. At this time, we are unable to meet Value Added Tax (VAT) collection requirements because of the elimination of Low-Value Consignment Relief (LVCR) and changes to who is responsible for calculating and collecting VAT from UK-based customers.
Who does this impact?
Any customer who orders physical merchandise AND requests shipping to an address in the UK.
Please note: Online exams and other electronic resources are not impacted by this change and these orders will continue to be fulfilled electronically immediately upon purchase.
What happens if I order physical merchandise and request shipping to an address in the UK?
Regrettably, the physical merchandise you ordered will be canceled from the order and a refund for the value of those items will be applied to the original method of payment. We will notify you via email the same or next business day if your order is impacted.
Please note: There are no exceptions to this policy, the only workaround is to request shipping to a non-UK address.
How long will this be in effect?
We do not know, but we are researching available options and will endeavor to minimize the long-term impact to our customers based in the UK.
